Honua Kai - Konea 437

The studio was very comfortable. We particularly appreciated the beach chairs, beach bag, and beach towels provided for our use.

Absolutely wonderful stay at Honua Kai (437). Exceptionally clean, well outfitted, quiet and just perfect for my wife and I. Stayed nine nights, enjoyed everything- pool, beach, Duke’s Beach House, pool service, etc. Prepared about a third of our meals with great kitchen, easy to get supermarket supplies. Parking in garage available all except one night due to us coming back after 8:00pm, but easily parked outside. Did our laundry in house, so pack light!! Loved it, so booked it again!!

Lovely condo in a great location. Enjoyed watching the whales from lanai, and having the choice of sitting by any of the many pools. Went for walks on the boardwalk and the beach. Truly enjoyed a relaxing vacation.

Overall we were very satisfied with our experience. Given the extremely wet weather we experienced we ended up spending more time indoors than we would have liked. The studio was clean and had all the amenities we needed. The gym had a good mix of weights and cardio. One thing that would have been good to know about was the lack of parking. Most nights we could not find parking in the garage and had to walk approximately a half-mile away. Regardless, we would come back again.

Stayed here for a few days with our 7 & 9 year old before we moved to our Timeshare near Whalers Village and wanted to see this part of the island. The room was Great. Mattress was AMAZING!!! We slept Great which is exactly what you hope for on Vacation. The pullout couch was also likely the most comfortable I’ve ever seen. Kids had a great time in the pools even when we found them way colder than anticipated. Hot Tubs were inconsistent. One day likely 110° and the next day, same hot tub 85°. Felt like Goldilocks, Just had to try them all to find one that was the right temperature. Parking in the parkade was a challenge after 5pm. But We would definitely stay here again. Hosts were Great and exactly what you would hope for in a VRBO.

Unit is lovely, we really enjoyed coffee/wine on the deck each day! Beach,pools,restaurant all right there so you really didn't need to leave the property if you didn't want to. The walk to the south is nice to view other properties and some pretty beaches. Great location, perfect weather, nice unit!

Stayed there for our 50th. Was a good size for the 2 of us. Pools were very nice, Dukes Restaurant was great and only 20 minutes from Lahaina.

We had the best honeymoon staying at Honua Kai. The check in/out process was seamless. The room was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The beach chairs were a lifesaver! When we are lucky enough to return we will rent Hula Hideaway again!

I honestly couldn't say enough about this place. Jill was awesome and so helpful. We stayed in several different spots on 3 different islands during our trip, and Honua Kai 437 was by FAR the best. We couldn't believe how clean it was first and foremost, it was like no one had ever been there. The full kitchen, coming from a kitchen guy, was just amazing...everything was like brand new. I like to make breakfast in the mornings, and here we had ALL the basic necessities to do so, Salt/Pepper/EVOO...little things like that make a huge difference to a lot of people. The pots and pans were like brand new, just impressive. It was like having a little version of your own home, sitting in paradise. Opening the doors to the lanai while eating breakfast was just magical. The views were breathtaking, the resort grounds themselves were immaculate. I sat one morning watching the groundskeepers work, and it was so impressive the pride they put into what they were doing...just top notch. Sitting by the Adults only pool was a very nice touch too, Duke's even has staff that come by taking drinks and food orders. The convenience to the grocery store and shops was so nice, and then you also have Whaler's Village and Front St. only minutes away. Having the option to do as much or as little as you like to me is what made this stay so memorable. We will no doubt be back, and highly recommend this to any couple or small family!

Love the view from this spacious condo! The floor plan is perfect for two people with no children. The Honua Kai property as a whole is wonderful.

This was the perfect place to stay! The room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed from beach gear to kitchen supplies. The room was super quiet. The property was beautiful as well. We BBQ’ed and enjoyed the hot tubs at night while sipping cocktails from Duke’s. I would definitely come back!

Everything you need is in the room. Grocery store across the street with the best Poke around! Great views and clean room..Uber is really fast and cheap to get around too...

The place looks exactly as in pictures. Very clean. Nicely stocked up. Loved our stay and we will be back.

This unit was everything described in the listing! My favorite part was all the extra items they had like the beach chairs, rolling cooler, beach umbrella and boogie board! We also brought our 7 month old and they had a pack n play for our use as well. That really took a lot of stress off to know she has a safe place to sleep and I didn’t need to bring yet another item along with us. The unit was super clean and exactly as it looks in the pictures. It is the perfect little studio on the most amazing beach ever! We loved our stay and hope to be back soon!

I stayed in this place for 7 days with my husband, it was a perfect stay, clean, well equipped, close to the beach, nice balcony with sea view. I really really recommend it.

The resort is beautiful with lovely landscaping and many pools and hot tubs. Our room was exactly as pictured, very well maintained, clean and comfortable. We loved watching sunset from the beach in front of the property.

My 20 year old niece and I spent a week in unit 437 and found it to be pretty perfect for our needs. Very clean, great view, wonderfully equipped and the folks at Hula Hideaway were very communicative and helpful. Everything was top shelf! We will stay again!

We had a great stay in this unit... great location. There were a couple minor things that weren't as mentioned in description... there is only 1 cooler (and it was sticky and sandy) and the umbrella was broken. Not a big deal but just FYI.

We loved staying in this unit. It was modern and smelled amazing but our favorite part was the lanai windows! It had everything you need (dishwashing/washer liquid) pans, paper towels, beach towels, boogie board and cooler. The resort is operating normally with all pools and hot tubs we enjoyed! The grounds are well kept and right on a sandy beach. We enjoyed having dukes on property even though it closed halfway through our stay. The owners of this unit handled all our reservations with clear communication and they even sent emails on how to handle the Hawaii Covid-19 forms which was very helpful! Check in was a breeze and we were let into our room early! We would 100% stay here again! Mahalo for a wonderful getaway.

We loved staying at this spot. Amazing resort with awesome service. Our hotel room was clean and the staff was amazing. Hot water runs out quickly and bed is pretty uncomfortable (old/needs to be flipped/ too squishy?) other than that we loved it!! Would happily stay again

This was our 3rd time staying in this suite. We love this resort and it’s amenities having stayed at HK seven times now. Condo has all that you need for your stay. Love seeing and hearing the ocean. So fortunate we were able to make it to Maui. We are blessed!!

My husband and I have been Jill's guests at Honua Kai three years in a row - twice with our adult children. Her units are always well appointed and clean. We loved using the beach chairs and always enjoy the lanai (Best lanais in Kaanapali-glass see-through panels and very large, even the studio.) Easy check-in, valet service for parking is awesome and the bracelets make the process easy for getting in the unit and checking out towels. Wish there weren't two palm trees exactly as tall as Unit 437 - the view would have been better if they weren't right there!

Including full kitchen, with everything needed to cook for yourselves, beautiful hotel with all the views and amenities , and access to the beach. We had an amazing stay. Staff was very helpful and professional.

Our recent trip to Maui staying at Honua Kai 437 was a great experience. We all had a fantastic time and the condo was clean, comfortable, and had excellent amenities. Hula hideaway was extremely helpful, we needed an extra futon and blanket which they delivered for us without hesitation. All four of us fit comfortably in the studio without problem, sharing a bathroom is never fun but with two sinks it was totally manageable. Kitchen was clean and had all the items we needed, beds were comfortable, condo location was quiet and had a beautiful view. Extras like beach chairs and snorkeling equipment and beach bags came in handy. We could have used one more bar of soap for the shower, and a couple more rolls of toilet paper, as we ran out, but that is just a small thing. Overall, Honua Kai 437 was a great place, and we would definitely go back.

Highly recommend this place across the board. Steps to the beach, snorkeling gear in the closet, extraordinarily clean, beautiful pools and hot tubs, couple minute walk to a grocery store and has a full kitchen. Would stay again!

We love Honda Kai and try to visit at least once a year. We love Dukes and all the pools on the property. Cant imagine staying at anywhere else.

My wife and I had a great stay! The condo is sparkling, feels new and has high quality, comfortable appliances and furniture. The lanai is the perfect size to relax and take in the views of the ocean and even whales breaching in the distance. Honua Kai is a great resort for families and is right on the Kaanapali Coast. There's a Duke's restaurant and general store on the resort property, a mall with grocery store less than 10 min walk away and other resorts south of Honua Kai to explore along the beach boardwalk if you want a change of pace.

Jill is very responsive and felt like she's there should anything be required. She has the process dialed in with various emails to let you know the check-in and checkout process. You check-in w/the parking valet (there are 2 towers so make sure to go to the Konea tower) who give you wristbands for entry into the condo, as well as for parking. Underground self-parking is included which is great, and valet is an option as well. There's also a separate north gate/entrance for easy driving access in and out of the resort/Konea tower.

Overall, our Feb 2018 stay was fabulous. FYI, it wasn't a big deal, but there's no shampoo/conditioner in the shower which we were told is standard for these type of owner rentals, but I'm pretty sure most places I've stayed at have provided this. The studio also has no shortage of chairs, toys, etc to bring to the beach. We didn't use it, but I believe there's also a pullout sofabed in case there are more than 2 ppl or kids that are with you. It would be a little tight, but a great deal especially if most of your time will be spent outside at the pools or beach. We hope to be back soon!

We found it a lot quieter than the other tower. The condo itself just felt like home.! We felt very comfortable there and the view is so heavenly!!

We did cook some steaks one night on the grills on the property. We had never done that before but definitely will again. It has such a nice social aspect to it. So nice meeting other travelers from all over the world. The pantry is stocked with so many ingredients.
We ate our breakfast every morning on our lanai. After our early walk on the beach of course. I highly recommend the coconut latte from the shop in the lobby. Ask for Shari - She's a sweetheart!!

We had such a great time during our stay! The room was comfortable and clean, with a beautiful view. We spent every morning on the lanai enjoying the view and a cup of coffee! Our 4 year old had a blast at the pool and we loved being able to grill for dinner and eat poolside, enjoying the lovely sunsets :) What a perfect experience!

Clean and spacious studio with a nice kitchen and bathroom, plus bed very comfortable! Owner very responsive to our needs---she will do anything for your stay to be perfect! Great location in the area and nice underground parking. Lovely balcony with a partial ocean view. Quiet location after 10 pm. Easy access to beach with beautiful sunsets. Definitely a great space for a great price!

My daughter and I had a wonderful vacation in Maui with a two week stay at Honua Kai 437. The room was spacious, spotless, had a beautiful view over the resort and towards the ocean and the island of Lanai and Molokia. Lots of snorkel equipment, beach chairs and towels were also made available to us. I would highly recommend this beautiful resort and outstanding unit.
