Honua Kai - Konea 506

What a wonderful place to enjoy your island get away. Great location on the west side of the island. Condo was fantastic. Beautiful views of the mountains, partial view of the ocean. Well stocked with great amenities. The resort itself is beautiful with great views of the sunset in the evenings. Access to many pools and beach front access. If you didn't want to leave the property, you wouldn't have to. But it is a quick drive to Napili and Kapalua Bay - beautiful, calm beaches. We would definitely consider staying here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. We had a couple of small issues which Hula Hideaways addressed immediately. Bed was super comfortable in the master and the pull out sofas were comfy as well (a rarity). The single bathroom is large but a bit hard to share as there is no divider for the shower or toilet. The view while not ocean front was lovely despite construction cranes blocking. To be clear this is not a two bedroom- the den does not close off. So there isn’t privacy outside of the Master bedroom but is a great choice for families. There was a grocery store directly behind the property as well as food trucks (expensive ones however).
The pools and grounds were lovely.
Would definitely book again.

I couldn’t say enough good things about our stay. We have stayed at Honua Kai several times, and it continues to be an excellent choice, especially for families with small children.
The amenities are a huge plus and working with Hula Hideaway is always a pleasure. They are fast to respond and make sure you have everything you need. I highly recommend them and the resort.

Condo was fantastic, had everything we needed. Beautiful views, comfy beds, great bathroom and nice and clean. Plenary of towels and beach towels and beach chairs. Beach was magical.

I heard about the Honoa Kai from a YouTuber who who stays at the Honoa Kai year after year. After researching I found this beautiful condo listed on VRBO. I took a look at the pictures and this unit looked so beautiful and I knew this be perfect for my husband and myself. Price was decent so I went ahead and booked the condo. From start to finish the property owner contacted me and had me download an app onto my phone. What a wonderful app to tell you all about the condo and the lady I corresponded with was so wonderful. She told me everything that I need to know on how to get the password for the room and what I need to do upon arrival everything was perfect when we arrived. We walked in and we were wowed by how beautiful this condo was we only got to stay for two nights is out as that was all that was available, we would’ve loved to stay longer. Hopefully, in the near future we’ll be able to stay at this beautiful condo once again. The unit was very very clean and looks immaculate. There was a washer and dryer in case you needed to do any laundry. Also in one of the classes there was lots of beach toys And beach chairs among other things to use at the beach which was very nice. The condo was across the street from a nice plaza so if you need to get any groceries you could just walk across the street there is also a pancake place called Slappy cakes across the street which was nice to walk to from the condo. The pools outside were immaculate and everything looks so beautiful

This place was very clean and well kept. I loved the beach gear in the closet and baby Bumbo seat and travel crib for my baby! Everything worked well and we had a great stay.

We had a fantastic two week holiday! The unit was well cared for and had absolutely everything we needed including beach chairs, kids life jackets, snorkel gear, boogie boards, a cooler on wheels, pool noodles, butter, mustard, mayo, zip lock bags coffee, olive oil spices salt and pepper. It had more provisions than other units we’ve rented in the Honua Kai and it was very helpful for our two week stay! The hula hideaway team was very responsive, easy to get a hold of and accommodating. The Honua Kai building is really in a very convenient location and great for kids which is why we keep returning with our family! We hope to be able to secure this unit the next time we travel to Maui! Many thanks :)

We had a great trip to Konea 506 and plan to return. The space was comfort able and spacious for our family of 5. It had all the things we needed to beach play and eating. We love Honua Kai. Pools were great and warm. The temp was cold so it was nice to have a warm pool. We will be back! Highly recommend staying here.

We have renters from hulahideaway for 5 years now and have never been disappointed. The condo was spacious, well decorated, and had all the necessary upgrades like washer dryer, boogie boards, chairs, umbersll even which was great! The lanai was huge and opened right up to an indoor outdoor space feeling. Beds were comfortable. Great den for our 15 year old with his own couch which turned into a bed. Massive bathroom with two sinks! Everything was clean, the only issue we had was the couch could have used a good steam cleaning made out of a light coloured fabric, it obviously is prone to becoming dirty. Other than that minor issue everything was great. Jill and her team were extremely responsive which we really appreciated since we needed a few extra things along the way. Super nice people!!

The unit was beautiful and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for small meals and happy hours on the patio. There was plenty of beach and snorkel gear. The pack and play and laundry was great since we traveled with a baby. We ordered grocery delivery which was helpful after a long day of travel. Hula hideaway was very responsive with questions. Duke’s was great for poolside drinks and food. The complex was walking distance to the food trucks and grocery store. Snorkeling off the beach was fantastic! Beautiful resort with plenty to keep a family entertained between the beach and pools. We would absolutely stay again.

We love the Kaanapali area and this was our second time staying in this resort. this condo was absolutely perfect we stayed 10 days and loved every minute of it thank you so much Jill and everyone at Hulu hideaway for a perfect vacation we couldn’t have asked for more!!

This is a great unit that was perfect for my wife and I and two teenagers. The unit has everything you need and is a good location for getting down the elevator to the pool and parkade. The booking agency was also amazing and made the whole process, including a few last minute changes very easy. I would highly recommend this unit and we would stay here again!

We had a great time at this beautiful resort. The condo was perfect for our 3 week stay in Maui. Our property manager, Jill and team, were fantastic. I could not have asked for better response through the whole rental process. We hope to be be back and will definitely book through Hula Hideaways again.

Loved our stay! Everything was very clean and exactly as pictured. The management company was quick to answer any questions. The views from our room were amazing! Loved being so close to the quiet pool and lazy riven. Great location on the resort. Would stay here again for sure!

This condo was very nice and clean. The king bed was very comfortable and my teenage girls enjoyed having the den to themselves. We enjoyed our time and didn't want to leave! It's in a great location, close to restaurants, beaches and shopping. Thank you for sharing your condo.

We rented the unit in June and was grateful to have been able to return. From the condo to the property, everything was fabulous. Having stayed here before, we knew what to expect and probably enjoyed our stay even more. Hula Hideaways, Jill, was very responsive whenever we had a question and accommodated our request to have a late check out for a small fee. We definitely would stay here again.

Jill was a great host who responded quickly to all the questions we had. She gave us an early check in and a late check out. I would have given this review a 5 but there were a few things that did not go as planned, probably due to the Covid-19 situation.

We are a local family who live on Maui and our main reason for selecting this property was so that everyone, could enjoy the pools. Before booking, I called and asked if all the pools were open and was told it was. However, upon arrival on Friday afternoon, I was informed that the pool hours were changed from 6a-10pm to 9am-5pm, and that only 2 pools were open. One was a small pool by the villas with a maximum capacity of 30 people. And the other pool was called a “family pool” (which wasnʻt too much bigger than the 1st pool). What gave the pool situation a negative feel was that there were no umbrellas for shade by the family pool. Whereas all the surrounding pools that were closed had umbrellaʻs for shade. We asked a security guard if we could move the umbrellas and he said we should just go to the other pool. Our pool saga continued when on Saturday, after getting our family out of the pool by 5:00pm, we see a group of young men and a couple of women come through the lobby around 5:30ish and head straight to the pool. Closer to 6:00pm they are still in the pool so ask the security guard about the pool hours being closed at 5:00pm and he proceeds to tell us that they just changed it, on Saturday, to end at 8:00pm. It would have been great to have been told this information earlier. I donʻt know if there was anything that could be done about getting updated information while being at the Honua Kai when you are not an actual “hotel” guest, but I think for the next person itʻs worth mentioning.

Hula Hideaway is in a great location on Maui. The property worked perfectly for our family of four.

Condo was clean and well equipped, the resort was wonderful with multiple pools and hot tubs to choose from and having Duke's on-site made it even better. Great location as well!

We stayed in the Konua Kai 7 nights with our daugher and her family. It was definitely enough room and worked well for 4 adults, 2 children.

Honua Kai was a beautiful resort to vacation at. We stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed the 506 condo. It was clean, well maintained and beautiful. It had all the necessities and more that you would need. Having the kitchen and washer and dryer was great! We made breakfast everyday and ate on the Lana’i that was spacious and the views were beautiful! Jill sent emails welcoming us, letting us know if we needed anything and made our stay enjoyable. The grounds and pool were maintained well. The valet, the staff were all friendly and helpful. Dukes restaurant was the site and we ate there twice and enjoyed the experience. Overall I would recommend this condo and resort to anyone wanting a relaxing vacation. There were many families staying and though we do not have children they didn’t bother us at all. I’m so glad we chose to stay here it was an awesome trip!

Wonderful stay, amazing

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Honua Kai! Rental had more than enough space for the two of us. We loved sitting on the deck, enjoying breakfast with views of both the ocean and the mountains. Took advantage of all of the amenities the resort offered - loved the proximity to the beach.

I am fortunate to have been to Maui many times. This was my second stay at Honua Kai and it is a beautiful resort! Jill was a pleasure to work with and the unit was clean and beautiful! I love this location as it has a great walk right out front,the stretch of beach out front is very nice and pools are wonderful. The fully equipped kitchen was perfect for cooking breakfast for our family of four each day. We also utilized the bbqs by the pool area. The food truck court right
next door has a variety of delicious local food options. And of course Dukes is right in front of the resort and they have a great Happy Hour. I will definitely recommend Hula Hideawy and Honua Kai to my friends and family!

Jill’s place was fantastic!! It was well maintained, well stocked, and most importantly....very clean! We had everything we needed and more. In addition, the location and facilities at Honua Kai are gorgeous.

Our unit was spotless and we really enjoyed having a kitchen and some space to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked and there is a grocery store across the street and a small store in the lobby with some basics. We loved Honua Kai and this unit.
